History
DeVine is a grand re-creation of a circa 1910 federation home with a rich and diverse history as BonnieView Guesthouse.
In 2003, BonnieView Guesthouse was rescued from the elements and revived with a thoughtful and tasteful renovation to be reintroduced as DeVine.
The DeVine transformation...
The transformation began with locating information from the previous owner, historians and locals in order to keep to period with the restoration as unfortunately all major fittings had been removed by opportunists with a flair for renovations themselves!! Unsuccessful in locating true details the re-creation of the federation style is far grander than what "bonnie" could have ever envisaged.
With the kind return of the original front-door, renovations began in earnest. With the essence of a federation home, Bonnieview began her divine transformation from dilapidated guesthouse to the grand country manor DeVine.
With exceptional attention to detail and modern adaptions the new restorations bring a classy lady into the 21st century fit for another century of hosting and entertaining.
Boasting a 5 star energy rating this class act is as conscientious as she is stunning. DeVine is a true showcase of what can be achieved using reclaimed and recycled timbers. Utilising the renewable energy resource of reclaimed forest free timber over 80% of the timbers were sourced from timber recyclers and arborists.
